Duties & Responsibilities:

  • ·        Assist Chefs with creation and preparation of western / local cuisine
  • ·        Preparation of food ingredient as needed for the day
  • ·        Ensure that quality, quantity, and correctness of food items served and displayed are as per Hotels and Chefs standard recipes
  • ·        Estimate expected food consumption, then requisition or purchase supplies, or procure food from storage
  • ·        Leads kitchen environment in smooth speed to serve up even during peak hours
  • ·        Works with superior to plan new menus, taking into consideration factors such as costs and special event needs

Qualifications & Skills:

  • ·        Possess certificate in Culinary Skills / GCE ‘O’ Level or equivalent
  • ·        At least 3-4 years of relevant working experience in restaurants or hotels
  • ·        Strong interpersonal, communication and supervisory skills
  • ·         Good understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and operational procedures
  • ·        Good managerial skills (Excellent record of kitchen and staff management)
  • ·        Accuracy and speed in handling emergency situations and providing solutions
  • ·        Able to work in rotating shifts including weekends and public holidays

Remunerations:

  • ·        6 days work week (rotating shifts, including weekends & PH )
  • ·        Salary range : $2500 - $3000 ( negotiable, salary will commensurate base on qualifications and experience)
  • ·        Working Locations : Town area
  • ·        Benefits : shift/OT allowances + Meals & Uniform provided + medical insurance + VB
