Duties & Responsibilities:
- · Assist Chefs with creation and preparation of western / local cuisine
- · Preparation of food ingredient as needed for the day
- · Ensure that quality, quantity, and correctness of food items served and displayed are as per Hotels and Chefs standard recipes
- · Estimate expected food consumption, then requisition or purchase supplies, or procure food from storage
- · Leads kitchen environment in smooth speed to serve up even during peak hours
- · Works with superior to plan new menus, taking into consideration factors such as costs and special event needs
Qualifications & Skills:
- · Possess certificate in Culinary Skills / GCE ‘O’ Level or equivalent
- · At least 3-4 years of relevant working experience in restaurants or hotels
- · Strong interpersonal, communication and supervisory skills
- · Good understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and operational procedures
- · Good managerial skills (Excellent record of kitchen and staff management)
- · Accuracy and speed in handling emergency situations and providing solutions
- · Able to work in rotating shifts including weekends and public holidays
Remunerations:
- · 6 days work week (rotating shifts, including weekends & PH )
- · Salary range : $2500 - $3000 ( negotiable, salary will commensurate base on qualifications and experience)
